OLD AGE

 

Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.  Psalm 71:9.

 

Cast me not off

In the time of old age;

Forsake me not when

My strength faileth, said the Palmist sage.

 

The time may come

When we "feel" forsaken;

The time may well come

In old age we'll  feel shaken.

 

But feelings are deceiving;

They come, they go.

Trust in God's promises;

On them depend and know.

 

Commit old age to God;

Rest in His care:

Knowing that in old age

Our God will be there.
